Premier Retreat re-launched as Dragonfly Petite

Six years ago the first Dragonfly Therapeutic Retreat was quietly born nestled in a cosy nook on Donghu Road in Shanghai’s historic French Concession. Today this shop has been given a stunning makeover and is re-launched as “Dragonfly Petite.”

Since first opening its doors in this location, Dragonfly has built a reputation as China’s leading provider of stylish but affordable – and often addictive - massage and beauty services for expatriates and local customers alike. The new Dragonfly Petite features a full range of nail care and waxing services in addition to its signature range of relaxing massage packages. The décor of the new retreat is romantic and enchanting, featuring a Nail Spa with a street front view where customers may gaze through lovely shuttered French windows at the busy passers-by and enjoy the historic shade trees and plants so unique to the French Concession.

Stepping inside customers will embark into a new realm. To the left of the corridor is a sumptuous foot massage salon decorated with ornamental drapery. To the right are several body massage rooms perfect for a couple to enjoy Chinese ‘tui na’ or Aroma Oil massage. Finally just ahead you will encounter an ancient Chinese style carved wooden door topped with a stone carving – this is the entrance to the Japanese tatami room where you may luxuriate in the rituals of traditional shiatsu massage.

The new interior of Dragonfly Petite has been designed to feel more spacious than before and features elegant beige and coffee coloured wallpaper that adds an additional touch of class.
